  • This coffee is labeled "Super Fine" due to the relatively high cup quality when compared to the "Strictly Soft Fine Cup," a label used in Brazilian export grading.  This coffee is a top choice for blends, but also has the unique ability to stand alone as a clean and well balanced single origin, which is how we have chosen to deliver it here.

Due to the mostly flat landscape of Brazil where this coffee is grown, the use of mechanical harvesting is used to take an otherwise expensive coffee, and reduce the price so that it is accessible to more consumers who are looking for high end Specialty Coffee.  Although it is harvested mechanically, the harvest still takes multiple pass throughs over the course of the harvest to only pick ripe cherries, which mimicks the hand harvesting process, yet at reduced cost.  After harvesting, the cherries are laid in thin layers to sun dry in a natural process, while being turned frequently for even drying.

The result is a well balanced cup with unique and exciting qualities that make this coffee stand out.  We are excited to bring this to our coffee loving customers.  We think you will enjoy it as much as we do.
